HAPINK is a liquid material containing mineral origin hydroxyapatite for 3D printing technique by extrusion mechanism.
HAPINK can be used for printing multi-layered, three-dimensional bone structures at room temperature by using a direct extrusion (pneumatic or mechanical) in a 3D printer.
3D PRINTING HYDROXYAPATITE INK (HAPINK)
HAPINK is a suspension of 85% micro hydroxyapatite in 15% PLGA (Poly lactic co-glycolic acid). The viscosity is 20-60 Psa.s and should be used in well-ventilated areas. It is chemically & thermally stable. It should be mixed well before use.
After using HAPINK by any of the methods, the object can be washed with 70% alcohol followed by water. This washed object is a flexible ceramic. It can be sintered at about 1400-15000C in an inert atmosphere to make rigid ceramic object. Flexible & rigid ceramic objects have been shown to support cell proliferation (excellent biocompatibility) and are highly osteoconductive, and osteogenic, capable of differentiation adult human stem cells into osteoblast-like cell.
